The Delete Security Group option allows you to permanently remove an existing security group from your cloud environment. Since deletion is irreversible, please follow the steps below carefully.
Steps to Delete a Security Group
Navigate to Manage Security Groups in your cloud dashboard.
Locate the security group you wish to delete and click the Delete button under the Options column.
If the group is still attached to one or more VMs, you will see a message preventing deletion. Detach the group from all associated VMs first.
Once detached, click Delete again. In the confirmation prompt, type Delete to confirm your action.
Click Confirm to permanently remove the security group from your account.
Note:
Deleting a security group will remove all its attached inbound and outbound rules. Always ensure that the group is no longer required or associated with any VM before deletion.
A security group cannot be deleted if it is currently attached to any Virtual Machine (VM). You must first detach the security group from all VMs before proceeding with deletion.
